Get Your Website and Till Ready for Christmas
The festive season is one of the busiest times of the year. A well-prepared website helps customers plan, book and order with ease. Follow these steps to get everything ready in time.
Upload Your Christmas Menu
Make your festive menu easy to view and download.
- Go to Website and Style Settings
- Open the PDF tab
- Upload your Christmas menu PDF
- Click Save
Your menu will then appear at the bottom of your website’s menu page.
Enable Your Christmas Page
Create a dedicated page where customers can find all your festive details.
- Go to Website and Style Settings
- Select the Extra Pages tab
- Change Christmas to Yes
- Click Save
This page can include your menu, offers, booking details, or even a pre-order form.
Check and Set Override Dates
Keep your opening times accurate over the festive period.
- Go to Opening Hours
- Open the Override Dates section
- Add your special opening or closing dates
- Click Save
Add Falling Snow for a Festive Touch
Bring a seasonal feel to your website with a simple snow effect.
- Go to Website and Style Settings
- Open the Website tab
- Find Effects, Popups and Banners
- Set Site Snow to Yes
- Click Save
Start Uploading Your Christmas Menu to POS
Don't leave it until the last minute. Add your Christmas products now under a category called Christmas and set the category to Display = NO.
Start adding your products and tweaking them. When you’re ready you can then simply change Display to Yes and they will appear on your website, app and EPOS.
Add A Blog
Blogs are great for SEO and communicating with your customers. Write a blog about your Christmas offerings, opening times, and how to book tables for Christmas parties.
It’s easy to do in TillTech. Open your admin navigation bar and you will see a tab for blogs. Click on this and you will now see the blog summary page.
You can have a PDF, picture gallery or even a video to support your blog.
Send an Email To Customers
Email marketing is still hugely effective, and your user management is full of customers waiting to hear what's next from you.
Utilise Collectifi to let customers know what fantastic events and offers you have planned. Link customers back to your blog or your online booking to make it easy for them to take action and book or purchase.
With these quick updates, your website and POS will be ready to welcome Christmas visitors and keep customers informed every step of the way.
